Villa Fosciana is a luxury villa with a unique setting in private grounds of fields and forests of particular interest to lovers of nature. The owner is a well-known naturalist and guests will love the atmospheric grounds of the estate.
Reached by a tree lined avenue, Villa Fosciana has been beautifully restored preserving the ancient chestnut beams and terracotta floors typical in Tuscany. The villa is furnished with taste and elegance throughout, with interesting antique furniture. As the estate has been owned by the family for centuries, portraits of their ancestors adorn the walls, showing a strong link with an aristocratic past but also with the rustic ambience of the simple Garfagnana life.
The most striking aspect of the restoration has been the creation of an enclosed terrace which has two walls almost entirely constructed of enormous windows, giving a dramatic view of the Garfagnana and the fantastic sunsets which can be observed from this part of the valley.
The main part of the large living room has an imposing open fireplace, comfortable and stylish furniture, an elegant dining table, and a small, fully-equipped kitchen. There are 3 lovely bedrooms, 2 double and one single, all with en-suite bathrooms and doors to the pool and solarium. The infinity pool is large, 10x7 metres, with views to the mountains beyond.
A few metres away there is also a small, romantic cottage known as Cassa Rossa which can be rented with the villa to increase the capacity to 9 people.
Guests will enjoy exploring the paths through forest and olive groves which are around the estate, giving access to a private, romantic and safe natural environment.
