Situated near the village of Villa Collemandina and a few kilometers from the market town of Castelnuovo, this two bedroomed cottage has one of the most beautiful views of the Garfagnana area.

The local shop and two excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance. The scenery around the village is without doubt comparable with the best that Tuscany has to offer.

The cottage is very well equipped and comfortably furnished. Upstairs there is a large double/family bedroom with balcony, a twin bedroom, a sitting room area with a fold down futon bed, and a shower room with bidet. Downstairs there is a large sitting room with a wood burning stove and fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher.

The double doors from the kitchen open to the patio which has sun loungers, barbeque and garden furniture.

Set in a valley between the Apennine and Apuane Mountains, the Garfagnana area is well known in Italy for its spectacular scenery, medieval villages, fresh warm air and delicious food.

The cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the local area on foot, bike, train or car. There are lakes, swimming pools, nature parks, horse riding stables, cafes, bars, restaurants, local fiestas, markets and shops all within a short distance.

Although summer tends to be the most popular holiday time the area is particularly beautiful in spring and autumn with the wide variety of spring flowers and vivid colours of the chestnut forests.
