This wonderfully situated little cottage faces the large medieval walled village of Coreglia Antelminelli. Tucked into the Apennine Mountains in the spectacular Garfagnana region, the village is interesting and welcoming and is known as an unpretentious mountain resort with an excellent climate, fresh air and thick chestnut forest.

This two bedroomed, beautifully restored cottage is decorated in an art house style. It is in the newer part of the village, only five minutes walk from the town wall and with a wonderful view of Coreglia and the surrounding mountains. The village has three restaurants and a number of cafe/bars, shops and good amenities.

The cottage is characterised by the large and ancient cypress trees in the garden and although it has been a traditional peasant's house it has been completely restored to a high standard.

On ground level there is a living room with wood stove and a fully equipped modern kitchen with dining area from which the back door leads on to the sunny terrace and large garden. Upstairs the two bedrooms are furnished with traditional Italian furniture and decorated very tastefully.

Coreglia is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in all of Italy. However, there are many other villages which are interesting to explore and only 10km away we can find the lovely town of Barga, with its art exhibitions, summer opera, jazz and food festivals.

Further on up the valley is Castelnuovo, a market town with fine shopping and tourist information offices. Bagni di Lucca is a well known spa resort 10km from Coreglia, famous for its thermal baths and elegant villas.
