Apians – Exploring Mountains
This is a small, friendly outdoor activities company in the Garfagnana area. Experienced and qualified guides offer a wide range of tours to suit all abilities. They can organise everything from top quality, challenging climbing for experienced mountaineers, to caving, canoeing, gorge walks, gentler guided hill walks and guided mountain bike tours. Usually these tours, in true Italian style, end up with a locally cooked delicious meal in an unusual setting.
The price of the tours depends on numbers going, equipment hire, insurance costs and length of the activity. We can arrange a quote to suit your party and also link you up with a small group of people with similar ability (this keeps the costs down considerably).
All equipment is provided and regularly tested for safety. The guides are licensed and well qualified and always have a fluent English speaker available.
Gorge Walking (in full wet suits) in the most dramatic of settings can be organised as a full or half day event. If you have never tried it before, full instruction is given (minimum age 14 years). If you can swim and are reasonably fit, it is the most challenging and exciting way to experience the Apuane Mountains.
For those more interested in the pleasures of sightseeing city tours or just a jaunt round the local historical sites - it can all be arranged.
